Careful panel cleaning for dust, pollen, bird mess, and Colorado buildup.
Rooftop solar on newer Erie homes films over with plains dust and sprinkler overspray, especially in Vista Ridge and Colliers Hill. MG Cleaning Systems is based in Erie and serves Erie as part of its Front Range route, with the same crew, the same process, and a clear scope confirmed before any work begins.
Every visit starts the same way: MG reviews the property, photos, and notes, confirms whether the visit is just solar panel cleaning or whether add-ons make sense, and gives you a clear scope before work begins. Final pricing depends on the property, access, buildup, and confirmed scope.
Dust, pollen, bird mess, and Colorado weather can build up on solar panels fast. MG cleans panels with a careful, non-abrasive approach, using soft brushing and purified water when appropriate. No aggressive pressure.
Erie sits on the open plains east of the foothills, so wind moves dust across large lots and onto glass, siding, and concrete with little to slow it down. The town averages 14.4 inches of rain a year and 37.1 inches of snow a year, with 246 sunny days a year in the climate data used for this area. That mix means dry buildup most of the year, then snowmelt and spring moisture that leave residue behind as surfaces dry. Erie water comes primarily from the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, delivered by pipeline from Carter Lake, with storage in Erie Reservoir and Thomas Reservoir. A utility compiled figure lists hardness at 33.4 mg/L, classified as soft, though no hardness figure was found in the town water quality report itself. Sprinkler overspray on large new suburban lots adds mineral spotting on top of the dust.
Bird mess around open lot edges adds heavier spots that shade small sections of a panel.
Erie has some of the newest housing stock on the Front Range, with a median year built of 2009. Most homes were built after 1990, with 42 percent built from 2000 to 2009 and 31 percent built from 2010 to 2019, and the inventory is primarily single-unit detached homes driven by recent residential growth. Neighborhoods such as Vista Ridge, Colliers Hill, Flatiron Meadows, Erie Highlands, Compass, and Old Town Erie reflect that pattern of master planned subdivisions alongside an older core. For cleaning, newer taller detached homes on larger lots usually mean broad driveway concrete, tall rear glass, and rooflines that need ladder or extended reach work rather than tight lot access. Sprinkler systems on those larger lots also shape where overspray staining shows up first.
MG brings the same record to every Erie job: 380+ customer reviews across residential and commercial exterior cleaning, 11+ years local, family owned, and insured service. The work is documented with before and after photos and job notes in Housecall Pro, so you can see exactly what was done.
What happens after you request pricing: you tell us what you want cleaned, MG reviews the property and confirms the scope, you get a clear price before work begins, and for larger bundled jobs or specialty work a deposit may be required after the scope is confirmed. MG completes the work and collects the remaining balance after completion unless otherwise stated.
Solar panel cleaning commonly starts around $200. Array size, roof access, pitch, bird mess, hard water, and critter issues can change the final scope.
Estimates are free. Tell us what needs cleaning and MG will review the property, photos, and notes, then confirm a clear scope and price before work begins.
Panel cleaning during the dusty season and after heavy bird activity makes sense for most Erie arrays. Many Erie customers fold solar panel cleaning into a seasonal rhythm, spring and fall, and MG can talk through what makes sense for your property when the scope is set. There is no contract pressure in that conversation, just a recommendation based on your property and its conditions.
Every job, residential or commercial, follows the same method.
On Erie jobs that means the access plan, the water plan, and the protection plan are settled during the scope review, before any cleaning starts.
